What is Community X Change?
Community X Change is a designated (public) benefit corporation start-up entity. The concept of Community X Change is to utilize both social action and technology to achieve change within local communities by leveraging the capabilities enacted for ALL through the JOBS Act of 2012 (crowdfunding) and the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 (opportunity zones). More precisely, Community X Change is dedicated to scaling replicable business models to provide community stimulus and to catalyze hyper local socioeconomic wealth generation and recycle the dollar within.
The concept of Community X Change is to provide a platform to bring the energy of social action and technology together to gain access to the needed capital and resources to achieve change inside the local community for and by its members. Our business model generates local socioeconomic activity and recycles the dollar within the local community.
Mission for Community X Change
Our mission is to be an incubator and true catalyst for positive change within communities world-wide. Our focus is on engagement. We provide awareness and we provide viable, equitable solutions that serve the existing as well as the emerging community stakeholders of all ages and backgrounds that live, work, commute or socialize inside the local community. Our service mission is carried out when the complete cycle of the dollar within the local community is complete.
When lending institutions place capital within the community businesses and the community businesses pay employees, contractors, or shareholders, and then said employee, contractor, or shareholder feels rewarded and ‘woke’ spending that dollar inside the local community extending the recycling effect—our socioeconomic mission is complete. The greatest obstacle at the moment is getting the word out about the opportunity zones in your area, not many local stakeholders are aware or getting out in front of this paradigm compared with that of the financial community. Community X Change aims to propel the concept of local opportunity into the opportunity zone spotlight. We will engage the community, digitize engagements and continuously improve techniques and metrics for impact assessment.
A Vision for Community X Change
Our vision is to enact a technological platform capable of handling the transactional needs of local communities world-wide. Our aim is to create a framework of local portals that garner independent socioeconomic activity, but synergize momentum, efficiency and the effectiveness of positive results. We engage community stakeholders on the ground with social action and together with our technological platform we empower community members to take equity.
